Our S  tory

​

My passion for creation and innovation began at a young age. Growing up, my father worked at the University of Texas, where I was exposed to various skills such as photography, photo development, wood burning, and soldering—skills that I continue to use in my jewelry making today. My mother and grandmothers, who sewed much of their own clothing, introduced me to the world of sewing. Additionally, my great aunt, a talented painter, spent countless hours mentoring me in the arts, particularly in pastels.

These experiences have provided me with a rich foundation in the arts, allowing me to explore and develop a wide range of creative talents. Today, I am grateful for the opportunity to share my creations with others.

TheJourney into Homecoming Mums

​

My journey into creating Homecoming Mums began when my children were in high school. As their friends started requesting mums and garters, my business naturally grew from there. Joining the professional Mum association, Mums, Inc., provided me with invaluable insights and knowledge, further enhancing my craft.

​

While Homecoming is a seasonal event, it has opened doors for me to diversify into other creative projects such as graduation leis and Print-on-Demand products.

Expanding Horizons

Beyond creating mums, I have also started selling craft supplies and DIY kits locally, catering to moms, daughters, and boyfriends who wish to create or customize their mums.

​

My creative journey has encompassed various mediums, including sewing, painting, wood-burning, stained glass, and professional photography. With so many artistic avenues yet to explore, one of my goals is to venture into fused glass art. No matter the medium, I remain dedicated to sharing my love for creating with anyone who shares this passion.
